Bio

Kaitlyn Hord is a professional volleyball player and four-time AVCA All-American who brings elite-level experience, technical expertise, and a passion for player development to the Columbus volleyball community. She currently plays in the Pro Volleyball Federation (PVF) for the Omaha Supernovas, where she most recently led her team to a regular-season title while setting the franchise record for most blocks in a single season. During the 2025 PVF season, Kaitlyn tallied 201 total points, including 111 kills, 83 blocks, and 7 aces, and was widely recognized as one of the league’s most dominant middle blockers.

Kaitlyn’s volleyball journey began in Lexington, Kentucky, where she rose to national prominence as the No. 3-ranked senior in the country and later earned a full scholarship to Penn State. Over her five-year collegiate career at Penn State and the University of Nebraska, Kaitlyn earned All-Big Ten and All-Region honors in every season and finished among the top players in NCAA history in career blocks and hitting percentage. Her senior year, she led the nation with 1.61 blocks per set while hitting over .400 against top-ranked competition.

In addition to her decorated playing career, Kaitlyn has spent time coaching at the college level, serving as a volunteer assistant coach for two seasons at Transylvania University. There, she helped guide the team to multiple conference championships and a national top-10 ranking at the NCAA Division III level. Kaitlyn brings a thoughtful, player-centered approach to every lesson, focusing on technical precision, footwork, blocking, timing, and game IQ — particularly for front-row players and middle blockers.

Kaitlyn is now offering individual and small to large group volleyball lessons exclusively in Columbus, Ohio. With her high-level experience, both on the court and on the sidelines, she is uniquely positioned to help players develop the skills and mindset needed to compete at the next level.
