Mintonette Sports offers three divisions/levels of teams:
- National
- American
- Regional (Junior Mints)
"National" division teams require the most commitment. These teams are designed for athletes who want to play volleyball at the highest level. Our top National teams will compete in the Open & National divisions in tournaments where the competition is most rigorous. These teams will play in tournaments that require out-of-state travel, some of which require flights.
"American" division teams are a lower level of commitment compared to National teams. These teams are great for athletes looking to play competitively. This division is to showcase regionally strong teams that may travel out of state.
"Regional" division teams require the least commitment. They are a great fit for athletes who are newer to the sport or prefer less travel. Most regional tournaments are played in the Central Ohio area.
Note: During the tryout registration process you can select which team division(s) you are interested in. If you only want to play on a regional division team, you can specify that and your daughter will only be placed on a regional team at tryouts.

Club teams are formed once a year at fall tryouts. Anyone interested in playing on a Mintonette Sports team (in any division) should attend tryouts.
Every player who tries out for our 10s and 11s age groups will be assigned a team, but is still required to attend tryouts.
Players who try out for our 12 & Up age groups may not make a club team at tryouts.
Click here to learn more about our tryouts.
Our teams are open to girls (ages 9-18) and boys (ages 9-11) of any experience level.
If your child is 7 or 8 years old, please email katie@mintonettesports.com. Your son/daughter can come in for an evaluation to make sure he/she would be a good fit on a 10 & under team.
Per the Ohio Valley Region (OVR), age groups are defined by BOTH grade and DOB. Click here to determine which age group your child should try out for.
