Can any items from last season be reused this season?
The following items may be reused from the 2023-24 season: 

American & National Teams

• Orange jersey
• Floral jersey
• Flag jersey
• Hawaii jersey (if applicable)

• Long sleeve swing shirt (American)

13s & 14s Regional teams

• Navy Jersey

What additional items do the athletes need that aren't included in the uniform package?

American/National Teams: A volleyball is required for tournaments. One pair of kneepads, socks, and spandex are included in the uniform package. We suggest buying extras through our Spirit Wear store for 2-3 day tournaments. 

Regional Teams: A volleyball, navy spandex, white kneepads, and white crew socks are required for tournaments. These items can be purchased through our Spirit Wear store or any other retailer.

What color/brand kneepads and socks do the athletes wear?

American/National Teams: white Adidas kneepads and socks should be worn at tournaments. Any brand and color can be worn to practice. 

Regional Teams: white kneepads and socks (any brand) are required at tournaments. Any brand and color can be worn to practice.

What color/brand spandex do the athletes wear?

American/National Teams: navy Adidas spandex should be worn to tournaments. Any brand (black or navy) can be worn to practice. 

Regional Teams: navy spandex (any brand) are required at tournaments. Any brand (black or navy) can be worn to practice. 

Are arm sleeves included in the uniform package?
No, arm sleeves are not included in any uniform package. National and American teams will wear a sleeveless jersey. Purchasing and wearing solid white arm sleeves is optional. Athletes should try to find Adidas brand. If unavailable, any brand can be worn as long as they are solid white.

Is there a specific shoe athletes must wear?

National Teams: White Adidas shoes should be worn at tournaments. If you do not want to wear the specific Adidas shoe offered in your uniform package, you DO NOT need to purchase them and can wear any other WHITE ADIDAS shoe. If you cannot find white Adidas shoes that are comfortable, players may wear any other brand as long as they are mostly white/gray/discrete in color (not brightly colored). If Adidas sees highlighter yellow Nike shoes (or shoes that are obviously in violation of our Adidas contract), they may email Katie. If that happens, the team will be required to purchase the uniform package shoe. Please choose your non-Adidas brand shoes wisely so you don't stand out.

American/Regional Teams: There is no specific shoe they are required to wear. We ask that players do not wear brightly colored shoes (bright pink, yellow, etc). Please keep the shoes neutral/discrete in color (blue, navy, white, black, gray, etc).

Do athletes use their tryout t-shirts again?
Yes. The tryout t-shirt will be used as a practice t-shirt.

Which shirts do athletes wear to practice?

American/National Teams: In addition to wearing the tryout t-shirt, athletes will wear the two additional practice t-shirts that are included in their uniform package. We will post a practice shirt schedule so everyone is wearing the same shirt at every practice. 

Regional Teams: In addition to wearing the tryout t-shirt, athletes will wear their jersey top. We will post a practice shirt schedule so everyone is wearing the same shirt at every practice.

If on a team that does not receive the warm-up jackets/pants, can athletes order the same jacket and pants as the teams that do?
Yes, the same jacket and pants can be ordered through Spirit Wear! Some teams like to coordinate and purchase a different Spirit Wear item so they all match. This is 100% optional!

Are there Mintonette items parents/families can wear?
Yes! Mintonette gear can be ordered online through Spirit Wear.
